Ingredients

  • 1 Hovis® Cheese & Herb Sub Roll
  • 1 tbsp Green pesto
  • 40g Mozzarella (sliced)
  • ½ Avocado (sliced)
  • ½ Tomato (sliced)
  • 10g Red onion (thinly sliced)
  • Handful of fresh basil
  • 1 tsp Olive oil
  • Pinch of salt

Tip

Let the mozzarella sit at room temperature for 10–15 minutes before assembling - this helps it soften and release more flavour, creating a creamier, more satisfying bite in every mouthful.

Method

Lightly toast the Hovis® Cheese & Herb Sub Roll under a grill or in a toaster oven for 2–3 minutes until warm and slightly crisp.

Spread the pesto evenly onto the bottom half of the roll.

Layer the basil, mozzarella slices, tomato, avocado, and red onion on top. Sprinkle with a pinch of salt.

Drizzle with olive oil and close the sandwich with the top half of the roll.
