Made with Hovis® 4 Cheese & Herb Sub Rolls

Preparation time: 5 minutes

Cook time: 15 minutes

Serves 1

Ingredients

  • 1 Hovis® Cheese & Herb Sub Roll
  • 2 slices Bacon
  • 1 tbsp Maple syrup
  • 60g Brie (sliced)
  • 1 tbsp Chilli jam
  • 1 Fried egg

Tip

To avoid burning and ensure even melting, grill the brie-topped sub roll on the middle shelf and rotate it halfway through. This gives you gooey cheese and a perfectly toasted roll every time.

Method

1

Preheat your oven to 200°C (fan) / 220°C (conventional). Brush the bacon slices with maple syrup and lay them on a lined baking tray. Cook in the oven for 10–15 minutes, or until crispy.

While the bacon cooks, slice your Hovis® Cheese & Herb Sub Roll in half lengthways. Place the sliced brie on the bottom half and lay both halves (cut side up) under a preheated grill for a few minutes until the brie is melted and the roll is toasted. Keep an eye on it to avoid burning.
