Use day-old bread for better toasting, it crisps up nicely under the fillings!

Method

Fry the bacon slices in a pan over medium heat until crispy. Drain on kitchen paper and set aside.

Toast the Hovis® Farmhouse Batch Wholemeal until golden. While warm, spread butter and mayo, then layer lettuce, tomato, season with salt and pepper, and top with crispy bacon.

Spread mayonnaise on both sides of the second slice and place it mayo-side down over the bacon. Top this slice with cheddar cheese, turkey, and ham.

Spread mayonnaise on one side of the last slice and place it mayo-side down over the meat to complete your sandwich.
