Made with Hovis® Soft White Medium Sliced

Preparation time: 2 mins

Cook time: 8 mins

Serves 1 person

Ingredients

  • 2 slices of Hovis Soft White
  • 3-4 rashers of back bacon (streaky works too, if you prefer it extra crispy)
  • Butter for spreading
  • Ketchup (or brown sauce, if that's more your thing!)

Tip

If you like your bacon extra crispy, try starting it in a cold pan and gradually increasing the heat. This helps the fat render out more effectively.

Method

1

Heat a large frying pan over medium-high heat. Add the bacon rashers and fry until they're golden and crispy to your liking.

2

While the bacon is sizzling, spread butter onto both slices of bread. Spread a layer of sauce (ketchup or brown sauce) onto one of the buttered slices.

3

Once the bacon is cooked, layer the rashers onto the other slice of bread.

4

Place the sauced slice on top, cut the sandwich in half diagonally, and enjoy!
